One of our Heathers (we tried giving them each a nickname but one of them didn’t like hers) decided we all needed to get “dolled up” for a Friday night on the town starting with Sushi at RA. As evidenced below, we have some great lookin friends… everyone was rockin it!
This last picture demonstrates my superior chopstix sparring skillz… Max didn’t stand a chance!
Frank is Frank - then Frank gets affectionate pet name of Frankie Poo – Frankie Poo gets shortened to F-Poo (which is still my favorite) – F-Poo becomes simply the Poo.
The Poo is awesome.
He couldn’t be more awesome if he tried… he is just naturally gifted with awesomeness. The Poo doesn’t have time for everyone, clearly those of us below are his favorites…
The true awesomeness of the Poo shines through when he throws a PooBQ… it’s a million times more awesome than a regular BarBQ because it comes with smores, strawberries, and cream freshly whipped by the Poo himself. The strawberries and cream experience was one so delicious it left no free hands for taking pictures, however, we did manage to capture some smores in the making…
All hail the Poo!!
And can someone clear up the matter of whether or not you’re supposed to catch the marshmellow on fire or “slow roast” it when making smores?!?
Don and I had a wedding on a fairly tight budget. And it turned out amazing! Better than I could have even dreamed when I began planning. We didn’t have the budget for a professional videographer and the only thing to go wrong on the day of, as something always will, is the handheld video camera we had asked a family member to bring wouldn’t turn on. We tried everything and it just would not work. Nothing fazed us that day, we were on cloud nine, but since the wedding, the only thing we truly regretted was not having our first dance on video. We took lessons and practiced for months (ok maybe only 2 or 3, but that is still months) and it was one of the best experiences of that day! Pictures can only capture such a thing so well.
This past weekend, my friend Josh visited from LA with his girlfriend Beth, and they had a gift for us. During the reception, I think they realized that we didn’t have a videographer, and Josh used his digital camera to take video of our first dance, the toasts, dancing, and Don dancing with his grandmother – all the things that pictures can not capture, and put them on DVD for us!! We are so grateful! Watching this video brings a flood of memories that were already escaping us. These are priceless memories!
Josh is with out a doubt one of the best friends I’ve ever had. We have been there for each other more times than I can count over the past 10 or so years. He has an incredible heart for his friends and from what I know of his girlfriend Beth, she has one to match! It completely shows in their thoughtfulness to capture those moments for Don and me.
